Praised as a “vocally fierce” and “deep-toned” performer (South Florida Classical Review), mezzo-soprano Alexandra (Alex) Colaizzi brings a compelling blend of warmth and versatility to audiences throughout the United States. She has performed with premier professional choral ensembles including Seraphic Fire, Santa Fe Desert Chorale and a collaboration with Grammy Award-winning vocal band Roomful of Teeth at the 2019 Cincinnati May Festival. She enjoys a varied career of solo and ensemble performing opportunities and academic research. Dr. Colaizzi currently serves on the voice faculties of the University of Miami Frost School of Music and Miami Dade College.
