Fotina Naumenko, soprano, has been praised for her “radiant voice” (Boston Globe), described as both “angelic” (MusicWeb International) and “capable of spectacular virtuosic hi-jinks” (Boston Musical Intelligencer). Fotina’s singing encompasses a wide variety of vocal genres including oratorio, opera, art song, choral and contemporary music, both as a soloist and ensemble musician. In addition to VAE, Fotina’s ensemble credits include Skylark, Artefact, the Experiential Chorus, Conspirare, Clarion, Cappella Romana, and Coro Volante, among many others. Fotina is a Fulbright scholar specializing in Russian and Slavonic diction and repertoire and serves on the voice faculty of Shenandoah Conservatory. She lives in the Washington, DC area with her husband Steve and their two cats, Pumpkin and Noodle.
