Jonathan Gentry is a resident of Cincinnati, Ohio, where he performs with the Vocal Arts Ensemble, Cincinnati Fusion Ensemble, and the Louisville Chamber Choir. He graduated from the University of Louisville School of Music, where he studied voice with Dan Weeks and Chad Sloan. During his time in Louisville, he performed with the Collegiate Chorale and Cardinal Singers, and served as co-section leader at Calvary Episcopal Church. While living in Colorado, he made appearances with both Opera Colorado and Kantorei. Since moving to Cincinnati, he has made his debut singing with the Vocal Arts Ensemble and Conspirare, under Craig Hella Johnson. He was a finalist for the 2019 Chanticleer Auditions and a Voces8 US Scholar for the 2019-2020 season. In his free time, Jonathan likes to check out the local breweries and plan his next travelling adventure. He is currently pursuing his MBA at Northern Kentucky University.
