Soprano Kemper Florin is so grateful to be making music with the Vocal Arts Ensemble! Passionate about changing lives through equitable access to music education, Kemper is the Director of Development at The People’s Music School, a 100% tuition free music education serving over 800 students throughout Chicago. Before joining The People’s Music School, Ms. Florin served as the Director of Education and Engagement at Cincinnati Opera where she conceived of, promoted and produced programs for all-ages that sought to deepen the broader community’s understanding and connection to opera. Kemper holds degrees from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and the Eastman School of Music and maintains an active performing career singing in ensembles including the Chicago Symphony Chorus, Chicago’s Music of the Baroque, Austin-based Conspirare and Cincinnati-based Vocal Arts Ensemble.
